Some of the greatest challenges in life come from our desire of validation, approval and praise in the things we do. Our very nature causes us to seek out others and to be a part of something that is larger than our individuality.
When God looked at Adam and considered his existence, He said, "it is not good for man to be alone." I know God was thinking of a mate for Adam but I believe the implications of that one statement were much farther reaching than just this one relationship. I believe that God in creating man, created us in His image and in the image of God we are created.
I have found in life that we are able to please some, some of the time and that we are not able to please everyone most of the time. So I have decided that I will choose to please God above all others in the things that I do and let the chips fall where they must with everyone else.
When everything is finally said and done, if I have done all that I can to please my Father, then one day I will hear Him say "Well Done!"
